GS1 Datan käyttöönotto etenee – Valmistele tuotetietosi siirtoa varten

Rakennamme parhaillaan uutta palvelua tuotetietojen hallintaan. Yhdistämme ja korvaamme GS1 Synkan ja GS1 Rekisterin tarjoamat toiminnallisuudet ja tuomme käyttöösi uuden kattavan ja kehittyvän palvelun tuotetietojen ylläpitoon. Jatkossa voit luoda ja hallinnoida GTIN-koodit ja tuotetiedot samassa palvelussa. 

Otamme GS1 Datan käyttöön vaiheittain toukokuusta 2026 alkaen. Tiedotamme tarkemmasta aikataulusta tulevien viikkojen aikana.

Lue alta, mitä sinun kannattaa tehdä jo nyt, jotta varmistat tietojen ajantasaisuuden uudessa palvelussa.  

Mitä tietoja siirrämme uuteen palveluun? 

GS1 siirtää GS1 Synkassa olevat tuotetiedot, GS1 Rekisterissä olevat tiedot sekä käyttäjät ja käyttöoikeudet.

GS1 Synkasta ei siirretä: 

• Luonnostilaisia tuotteita ei siirretä GS1 Dataan. Käy luonnokset läpi ja julkaise ne luonnostilaiset tuotteet, joiden haluat siirtyvän GS1 Dataan. 

GS1 Rekisteristä siirretään: 

• Kaikki tiedot paitsi tuotekoodit, jotka siirrettiin GS1 Synkasta.

GS1 Synkan päivitys tulevana keskiviikkona 
– huomioi käyttökatko

Huoltoaika päivitystä varten alkaa keskiviikkona 25.3.2026 klo 20 ja kestää noin kaksi tuntia. Tuona aikana palvelussa voi olla käyttökatkoja. 

Varmista tuotteidesi löydettävyys – lisää avainsanat Synkkaan oikein

Avainsanojen tarkoituksena on parantaa tuotteiden löydettävyyttä verkkokaupoissa ja helpottaa kuluttajien hakukokemusta. Liian laajat hakutulokset eivät palvele käyttäjiä parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla, joten tarkkuus avainsanojen valinnassa on tärkeää.

Huomioithan siis, että GS1 Synkan avainsanat-kenttään tulisi lisätä 5–10 tuotetta tai tuoteperhettä kuvaavaa avainsanaa. Lisätietoa ja tarkemmat ohjeet löydät verkkosivuiltamme.

GS1 Data implementation is progressing – prepare your product information for the transition

We are currently building a new service for managing product information. In GS1 Data we are combining and replacing the functionalities of GS1 Synkka and GS1 Rekisteri and introducing a new, comprehensive and continuously developing service for maintaining product information. In the future, you will be able to create and manage GTIN codes and product information in the same service.

GS1 Data will be implemented in phases starting in May 2026. We will communicate the detailed schedule during the coming weeks.

Read below what you should already do now to ensure that your information is up to date in the new service.

What information will be transferred to the new service?

GS1 will transfer the product information stored in GS1 Synkka, the information stored in GS1 Rekisteri, as well as users and access rights.

From GS1 Synkka, all product information will be transferred that is in the following statuses:

- Published

- Live

- Cancelled

- Discontinued

For published and live product information, it is important that you ensure there are no errors, as errors may cause problems during the transfer or when republishing product information and, in the worst case, interrupt the entire transfer in the GS1 Data service.

The following will not be transferred from GS1 Synkka:

Products with the status draft will not be transferred to GS1 Data.

Review your drafts and publish those products that you want to be transferred to GS1 Data.

From GS1 Rekisteri, the following will be transferred:

All information except product codes that were transferred from GS1 Synkka.

GS1 Synkka update coming next Wednesday – please note the service break

Maintenance for the update will begin on Wednesday 25 March 2026 at 20.00 (EET) and will last approximately two hours. During this time, there may be service interruptions. 

Ensure your products can be found – add keywords to Synkka correctly

The purpose of keywords is to improve the findability of products in online stores and to make consumers’ search experience easier. Overly broad search results do not serve users in the best possible way, so precision in selecting keywords is important.

Keywords are stored in the GS1 Synkka view Marketing Information, in the data field Trade Item Key Words (ID 4163). 5–10 words that describe the product or product family are entered in the field.

- Keywords should not repeat words used in the product name and marketing text.

- Keywords are written in lowercase. The punctuation mark is a comma without a space. For machine reading, no space is needed between words.

- Keywords are primarily written in Finnish. They can also be given in Swedish and English, and this is recommended if the company provides product information to other countries.

- Competitor brands may not be entered as keywords.
